I was destined to spend my life in the art world since the moment I discovered crayons. I don’t recall dreaming of being anything other than an artist. My high school painting teacher in Maryland first told me about the East Carolina University School of Art in Greenville, NC, where I later graduated with a B.A. in Communication Arts/Graphic Design.
Since 2001, I have been a freelance graphic designer, balancing my freelance design work with full-time employment, beginning in the medical field before diving into graphic design in the real estate industry and becoming the Creative Director for a company based in Raleigh, NC.
Over the course of 11 years, I gained incredible experience marketing for real estate. A few years ago I had the privilege of rebranding the company, giving it a new, fresh look. This is where my true passion lies.
Like technology, design is constantly evolving. What looks visually appealing today can and probably will look dated before long. Whether a young startup or a successful corporation, I thrive on meeting the challenge of helping a business achieve and maintain that visual appeal through cohesive design. I want to be responsible for making a business look its best.
